25 मई 1941 को भारत के इतिहास की सबसे दर्दनाक प्राकृतिक आपदाओं में से एक घटी। बंगाल की खाड़ी और गंगा डेल्टा क्षेत्र में आए एक भयंकर चक्रवाती तूफ़ान ने भारी तबाही मचाई। इस खेदजनक घटना में लगभग 5,000 लोगों की डूबने से मौत हो गई और अनगिनत घर तबाह हो गए। (One of the most tragic natural disasters in India’s history occurred on 25 May 1941. A fierce cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal and the Ganges Delta region caused massive devastation.
